D.PHARMACY-2 YEARS

Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) is a career-oriented, 2-year long diploma course that aims to prepare candidates to work under a licensed pharmacist in hospitals, pharmacies, etc.

There are many opportunities after completion of D. Pharma course. You can get job at drug stores of private or government hospitals. You can work in health clinics, NGOs, community health centres by checking the prescriptions, dispensing medicines and give them advice and directions.

B.PHARMACY-4 YEARS

B Pharmacy or B Pharma is a 4-year bachelor’s career oriented course and if you aspire to be a pharmacist, it is mandatory for you to pursue this course and build skills and knowledge on medicines. The key B Pharmacy subjects covered in the course curriculum focus on teaching aspects of medicines, drugs, their chemical structure, formulation, etc.

The course offers a wide range of jobs opportunities in both the public and private sectors.

PHARM.D - 6 YEARS

Doctor of Pharmacy, also known as PharmD, is a professional degree programme that is essential for candidates who want to practice pharmacy. The programme covers uses, production and application of medicines with respect to the disease that the patient is suffering.

There are two levels of the PharmD programme. Candidates aspiring for this programme can apply at graduate as well as postgraduate, i.e. those who seek a career in pharmacy can apply for PharmD after 10+2 and even after completing graduation. The two PharmD courses are as follows:

PharmD: 6-year programme
Pharm D Post-Baccalaureate: 3-year programme


The programme prepares the candidates to understand the clinical as well as commercial uses of medicine. A brief understanding of the diagnosis and treatment of the disease is also offered by the programme in the final year of the programme.

Pharmacy practice component in all spheres of Pharmacy professional services like Hospital & Clinical Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy, clinical research, regulatory, formulation development, quality control are emphasized in PharmD programme and after PharmD qualification the professionals are eligible to undertake PhD.

M. Pharm - 2 YEARS

A Master of Pharmacy degree holder is one pharmacy course that is structured in a way to provide entire technical, researched, practical and theoretical knowledge of pharmacy including traditional and modern medicines. The degree is of great value because a person holding this degree is as knowledgeable as a medical practitioner with years of experience, in fact, way ahead of doctors by acquiring knowledge with experience of complete health care industry.
